Hi i’m Skye, the soul behind the lens of soul essence!
Photography has been a passion of mine for most of my life, even as a kid i was always in the background capturing moments which i now hold very close to my heart. I studied during high-school and achieved my certifications but i also received a scholarship in Civil Construction and took a very different career choice after graduating, to follow the system and what i thought was best for me at the time. I quickly found out that type of work wasn’t for me and i had a pretty life changing accident occur at work which opened my eyes and directed me to follow my heart & passion. During a time of healing i chose to study online and achieved my Diploma in Photography and Digital Imaging (CUA50920), with the Photography Institute.
I fell in love with capturing the power in the sacred/divine feminine and the beauty in someone’s raw expression & in nature. I think it’s a very healing process for someone to embody who they are authentically, to feel comfortable in their skin and to see themselves in the image's in a space of unconditional love. I would love to share this gift with as many people as i can.
During a time of travelling around Australia and to stunning locations oversea’s, i also fell in love with the endless beauty of Australia’s coastline and places around the world. I fell especially in love with the south-west coastline of WA, which i now call home on the beautiful land of Wadandi Boodja in Margaret River. Although I am still exploring and creating around Australia, currently in Tasmania.
